Take off with us – and see some of the before, during and after pictures of our amazing MultiCam® Camo wrapped helicopter.
– A beautiful Little Bird – now in MultiCam® Black –
The “Night Stalkers”, were one of the first Special Operations Forces that provided helicopter aerial support for general military missions and special operations. Their missions have included attack, assault, reconnaissance, and are usually conducted at night, at high speeds, low altitudes, on short notice and with very little room for error!
For those missions, small helicopters, that can land in the most remote locations, are used. They are affectionately called “Little Birds”, and Image Craft’s latest vinyl wrap project was to help one “Little Bird” to accomplish it’s mission in full camouflage.
Image Craft was commissioned to print and install the MultiCam® Black camo adhesive vinyl for one of these special helicopters. This particular MD 530F is being used by Dillon Aero and their partner Fulcrum Concepts for testing the Dillon Aero M134 Gatling Miniguns and other special operations aviation gear.
Of course, we have plenty of experience with wrapping the most “unusual” vehicles and objects, nevertheless a helicopter wrap with this level of detail requires the greatest attention during the installation process.
Critical color matching and professional installation of the MultiCam® pattern is key for effectiveness, as well as superior materials are a necessity for any of our camo vinyl pattern reproductions.
Safe travels – Little Bird –

Bud Light brought its “UpForWhatever” campaign to downtown Phoenix with the “House of Whatever”, an entertainment venue that took over Jefferson and First streets for three days during Super Bowl XLIX.
Image Craft received the “blue light” to keep the spirit of the “Whatever USA Campaign” going. We participated with printing, fabricating and installing a vast amount of fun and amazing graphics for the most unique party experience in Phoenix during the Super Bowl. Our team even painted the concrete to match the blue theme of the “Whatever” and of course we had something to do with the gigantic floor graphic.
Three days of unforgettable parties, amazing concerts and one-of-a-kind activities for invited guests happened behind impressive and, of course, very creative adhesive vinyl wrapped shipping containers that were filled with all kind of bizarre objects.
A huge “All Aboard Gate” welcomed fans into the sandy surroundings of the party scenes.
If your hair was not up for the rain or you just felt like getting a “whatever” hairstyle – the hosts covered entertainment from hair to toe – The Frizz Hair Parlor.
Adhesive vinyl wall covering provided a nice stylish element inside the salon.
Take a quick look behind the scenes prior to going live on Super Bowl Weekend – the chalkboard for the “Whatever Messages” and the “Charity Ball Games”.
No wonder the “House of Whatever” was nominated the most creative “booth” of the Super Bowl Central downtown Phoenix!
What a fun opportunity to have been a part of the “House of Whatever” during Super Bowl!
Fresh from our facility and headed for the track, we just wrapped the official pace car for the NASCAR Subway Fresh Fit 500 to be held on March 4, 2012 at Phoenix International Raceway! Designed by The Lavidge Company of Phoenix, this wrap is unique in that it features four different types of vinyl and two different laminates.
The main layer was printed on 3M 180 C-V3 with matte laminate; 3M Carbon Fiber was used for the hood and running board; a unique Mirror Chrome vinyl was used on the running board, NASCAR logos, and ticket info text; and Premium Black Cut Vinyl was used for the #SUBWAY500 text. The 3M 180 C-V3 was used again on the print cut PIR and Subway logos, this time with a glossy laminate.
Image Craft Account Executive, Ken Apel, has wrapped the Farmers Insurance fleet of HelpPoint Mobile Claims Center (MCC) and Customer Care Vehicles (CCVs) several times throughout the years, culminating in this recent wrap for the fleet’s flagship showpiece bus, which not only stands ready to respond to the latest catastrophe, but also serves as an impressive public relations and marketing vehicle – literally! Recently wrapped in approximately 1300 square feet of 3M ControlTac adhesive vinyl, as well as another 300sf of window perf, this bus took a two man team of Image Craft installers three days to complete, but that’s only the beginning of this amazing vehicle’s story!
Verdean and Randy Glenn pose next to MCC bus while install under way.
We had the recent opportunity to take a tour of the technologically innovative flagship MCC bus, as well as chat with MCC Operator/Customer Advocates Verdean and Randy Glenn. In speaking with the Glenns, one gets the sense that Farmers is one company who truly cares about the needs of its customers during some of the most harrowing ordeals of their lives. In addition to the technology that allows the Glenns, as well as the other fleet vehicle operators, to provide a truly awe-inspiring array of services to Farmers customers in need, it’s also clear that the most valuable service of all is the sense of instant community that the arrival of the MCC brings to recently destroyed and severely stressed local communities in the aftermath of natural disasters.

If you’re heading out to Phoenix International Raceway for the big NASCAR race this weekend, Nov. 12-13, 2011, keep your eyes peeled for the pace cars we wrapped! Printed and installed in our Phoenix facility, these Toyotas will be featured at the Kobalt Tools 500. The cars were designed by The Lavidge Company for Phoenix International Raceway.
Last week we posted the giant APS banners recently installed downtown on a parking garage, so today we thought we’d show you this video we made last year of a giant 110′ x 14′ Phoenix Suns banner being installed on the same building using a similar SignComp tension system:
As you can see in the video, the banner was printed on a Vutek 5300 using solvent ink on frontlit vinyl, an ideal combination for long-term outdoor signage, though we’ve recently upgraded our equipment to bring you even more print options using the latest technology! The video itself was shot and produced by our Installations Manager, Aaron Wright. (Whoa, slow down, there, Aaron, stop and smell the… uh… oranges….).
