UTI – Universal Technical Institute – Teaching in Style

Chosen by industry

The Universal Technical Institute – “UTI” offers technical programs for industries involving automotive, motorcycle, diesel, marine, collision repair and NASCAR. The nationwide campuses offer fun hands-on training in very well branded, professional environments. The Image Craft team had the pleasure of putting the finishing touches on the UTI Campus in Lisle, IL.

A well balanced branding message for UTI includes a variety of different print and fabricated materials.

UTI Lobby

The lobby at the Lisle campus greets the visitors, students and prospective students with a lasting first impression of the professional teaching environment. Custom printed wall murals on adhesive backed vinyl frame a digital signage display monitor. The reception area is backed by solid wooden dimensional frames which are wrapped with brushed metal adhesive vinyl that has been printed and finished. And a direct to metal printed map displays the UTI locations nationwide.

The smooth graphics in the labs are 7 foot long display fabric dye sublimation images that are finished with silicone edge beading for easy installation into the metal display frames. Car manufacturer flags were also printed with the dye sublimation fabric process and installed on an aluminum banner frame system.

Expo – This is how we do it! (the small version)

Day in and day out we design, print and fabricate tradeshow display concepts for clients. So this time it was on us to shine in the expo arena.

Image Craft participated in the local “Business Journal Growth Expo” – where we had the opportunity to present ourselves to clients, prospects and introduce our products and services. We know what we can do – and there is so much of the “CAN do” and so little we can’t – so where to start?

Goals:

  • Be interactive with the attendees
  • Show off our capabilities
  • Be different (because tradeshow graphics is one of the great things we do for a living!)
  • Make some new networking friends and present Image Craft

Limitations: 8′ x 10′ booth space – (we produce so many cool graphics products – how will we ever be able to fit that into this small space!)

Solutions:

The booth:
10×10 Classic Quadro “S” Pop Up System – 4 panels
Printed with one of our UV Curable Flatbed Printers on “Digital Steel”
Finished with dry erase laminate – OH Shiny – and OH so pretty different!

THE DAvizz

After the inventor Mr. Davis – our portable lightbox solution with double sided fabric displays – we want to tease the attendees with beautiful food images on one side and classic fabric silicone edge applications on the second side. The lightbox was supported by a portable battery travel pack (branded of course!)

Let’s GO Suns!

The Phoenix Suns tipped off the season with a first win against the LA Lakers last Wednesday.

We have been the signs and graphics provider for the Phoenix basketball team for more than 12 years and we are enjoying all the new and creative sport arena graphics projects, that have been coming our way in all this time. The US Airways Center – the home arena for the Phoenix Suns – has seen a lot of visits from our installations team leading up to the opening game.

A most impressive graphics piece is surely the Jumbotron “Telephone” Frame for Verizon. Never been seen in any other sports arena is this over sized 18’ x 10’ Gator Foam Replica of a Verizon Smart Phone.

“Be more than a fan – be a Sixth Man” – The Suns Sixth Man membership area received a “beauty” overhaul prior to the season start. Surrounding the membership bar the concrete pillars are now tastefully wrapped with the Sixth Man logo.

The updated wall of membership recognition was printed on one of our UV flatbed printers, an extra wide dye-sublimation fabric banner was printed, sewn and the actual bar itself is showing off with new printed and routed Sintra logo lettering. Of course we installed it all as well.

If your sweet tooth needs some satisfaction during game time – go and visit the “Fractured Prune Doughnuts” Concession Store, which opened this season. Great, mouthwatering graphics and colorful backlit channel letters invite the game fans to the stores sweet offerings.

The banners in the stadium, the “Club Annexus dimensional lettering, logo decals around the game field,  wall murals in the “Verve Bar” Suite level, the adhesive advertisement on the elevator doors – and more – our team at Image Craft has, printed, fabricated and installed them. We are very proud to be a Phoenix Suns partner and fan.
