Musical Instrument Museum

The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, AZ celebrates the similarities and differences between various world cultures as expressed through music, which is universal. Open since April 2010, the MIM’s mission is to collect, preserve, and make accessible to the public music, instruments, and images from every country in the world by offering its guests an incomparable interactive experience, a welcome and fun environment, dynamic programming and unique performances.

With an interior designed to convey the graceful lines common to musical instruments, MIM is bright, open, and dramatic in scale. ICON Themed Environments, a division of Image Craft, worked with Gallagher & Associates in design development to create display prototypes which included wall panel systems, platforms, display casework, graphic panels, artifact armatures, dimensional signage, rail graphics, and integrated A/V.

After many years of collaborative work in the environmental display industry, the staff of ICON Themed Environments officially joined Image Craft in March of 2010.  For additional projects, please visit ICON’s web portfolio.
